Eagles will compete in an Abu Dhabi three-nation pre-Cote d'Ivoire 2024 event.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the Super Eagles would set up camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and will participate in a tri-nation match there as part of their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire next month.

The dates of the 2024 African Cup of Nations are set for January 13–February 11, 2024.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro, Sports Minister John Owan Enoh, and other officials convened on Wednesday to discuss strategies for preparing the national squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

They committed to helping the squad succeed, and one of the activities intended to assist Peseiro in developing a strong team is the international mini-tournament between the Stallions of Burkina Faso and the Leopards of the Congo Democratic Republic.

After the federation's meeting with Enoh and Peseiro in Abuja, the Eagles selected the United Arab Emirates over their initial proposal, Morocco, according to NFF Media Director Ademola Olajire.

According to him, Super Eagles officials and players will begin traveling to Abu Dhabi later this month to complete their last-minute preparations for the 2024 Cote d'Ivoire competition. They will then depart the Middle East following the mini-tournament.

Nigeria's Group A opponents in the African Cup of Nations are Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and hosts Cote d'Ivoire.
